Program Overview

This program is ideal for international students, or new immigrants whose do not speak English as a first language. There are total 6 levels.

Important Information
  • Thes programs do not require approval by the registrar of the Private Training Institutions Branch (PTIB) of the Ministry of Advanced Education, Skills & Training. As such, the registrar did not review these programs.

    Program Overview :

    This program is designed for educate learners to be able to understand and use familiar everyday expressions and very basic phrases aimed at the satisfaction of needs of a concrete type. Learners will be able to introduce him/herself and others and to ask and answer questions about personal details such as where he/she lives, people he/she knows and thins he/she has. They will be able to interact in a simple way provided the other person talks slowly and clearly and is prepared to help. Upon successful completion, learners should be able to achieve Canadian Language Benchmark level 3 or IELTS 4.0.

    Program Overview :

    This program is designed to educate learners to be able to understand sentences and frequently used expressions related to areas of most immediate relevance (e.g. very basic personal and family information, shopping, local geography, employment). Learners will be able to communicate in simple and routine tasks requiring a simple and direct exchange of information on familiar and routine matters. They should also be able to describe in simple terms aspects of his/her background, immediate environment and matters in areas of immediate need. Upon successful completion, learners should be able to achieve CLB level 4 or IELTS 4.5.

Learners will be able to communicate in simple and routine tasks requiring a simple and direct exchange of information on familiar and routine matters. They should also be able to describe in simple terms aspects of familiar every day topics and communicate slowly using fixed expressions. Upon successful completion, learners should be able to achieve CLB level 5 or IELTS 5.0.

    Program Overview :

    This program is designed to educate learners to be able to understand the main points of clear standard input on familiar matters regularly encountered in work, school, leisure, etc. Learners will be able to deal with most situations likely to arise whilst travelling in an area where the language is spoken. They will be also able to produce simple connected text on topics which are familiar or of personal interest. Furthermore, they will be able to describe experiences and events, dreams, hopes and ambitions and briefly give reasons and explanations for opinions and plans. Upon successful completion, learners should be able to achieve CLB level 6 or IELTS 5.5

    Program Overview :

    This program is designed to educate learners to be able to understand the main ideas of moderately complex conversation in formal and informal setting, while comprehending an increasing range of abstract ideas and concepts relating to general knowledge and life experience. Learners will be able to communicate with some confidence on many daily routine social, education, and work situations, and present concrete and some abstract information on an expanding range of familiar topics. Furthermore, they will be able to construct passages that are moderate in length, with a number of short, coherent paragraphs that clearly express the main ideas and adequate supporting details. Upon successful completion, learners should be able to achieve CLB level 7 or IELTS6.0

    Program Overview :

    This program is designed to educate learners to be able to understand the main ideas of complex text on both concrete and abstract topics, including technical discussions in his/her field of specialization. Learners will be able to interact with a degree of fluency and spontaneity that makes regular interaction with native speakers quite possible without strain for either party. They will be also able to produce clear, detailed text on a wide range of subject and explain a viewpoint on a topical issue giving the advantages and disadvantages of various options. Upon successful completion, learners should be able to achieve CLB level 8 and IELTS 6.5.
