This 4-week program effectively prepares Internationally Educated Nurses (IENs) for the Canadian English Language Benchmark Assessment for Nurses (CELBAN) examination. It is designed to prepare learners through comprehensive and intensive lessons and guided practice in all areas of the CELBAN exam including reading, writing, listening, speaking and test taking strategies. The program will help learners be familiar with the expectations, format, and content of the CELBAN test as well as improving their English skills and abilities.
* This program does not require approval by the registrar of the Private Training Institutions Branch (PTIB) of the Ministry of Advanced Education, Skills & Training. As such, the registrar did not review this program.
Celban Preparation: 4 Weeks
Applicants must provide proof of meeting English language competency requirements.
(Evidence of one of the following test scores)
International English Language Testing System (IELTS): Academic or General -- test must be within the last two years: Overall score of 6 with a minimum of 6 in Speaking and Listening and no score lower than 5.5 in Reading and Writing
Canadian English Language Benchmark Assessment for Nurses (CELBAN): test within the last two years, Listening 7, Speaking 7, Reading 6 and Writing 6
