I was enrolled at Gateway College from December 2008, taking the Long Term Care Aide program. I chose Gateway College with good reason. I feel they have a good standard of teaching and that the staff is highly efficient in imparting knowledge to their students. The number of students in a class is just enough for everyone to be able to effectively interact with their instructor. For these reasons, I highly recommend Gateway College to anyone who wishes to study to be an RCA.

It took a lot of convincing for me to take the LTCA program. It’s really hard to work full-time, have a family and go to school at the same time. But it’s very rewarding when your family, your husband, your classmates and your teacher are very supportive. I have learned how to multitask and how to manage my time, as well as exercised discipline and determination in finishing my course. I am grateful and very glad that I made this huge life decision. Thanks to Gateway College staff and instructors who taught us everything that we need to know for our new chosen careers.

Studying at Gateway College was a win-win gamble for me. Not only did I win by choosing a school well-equipped to educate future medical professionals, but also for giving me that very important first step in attaining my goal of pursuing my nursing career. With warm and friendly administration and highly competent teaching staff, it’s no wonder Gateway has been the choice for many for the past 23 years.

My time at Gateway College was very memorable. Time seemed to go so quickly, that my six month course felt like it only lasted one month. Our teacher was very friendly and approachable. She was the best. I learned so much here that I now find myself ready to find a job.  Should I ever have a chance to study again, I will choose this school. I miss everything about Gateway College.

Gateway College was a valuable experience for me. I made a lot of friends there and we had an awesome instructor who was well trained and gave us her 110%. Wherever I go I will take this memorable experience with me. Thank you Gateway!

Gateway College is a perfect match for those who are willing to learn or study as a Care-Aide.  I worked as a Live-In-Caregiver and couldn't afford to study full-time, so I was glad that the college offers Saturday classes and the tuition is affordable.  I am grateful to the staff and our instructors for their support!  I finished the course near the start of the month, and just two weeks later I started work full time at a facility.  Now I am working as a Care-Aide and getting double the pay of my previous work!

I really enjoyed studying medical terminology. Our teacher gave us lots of information and the class was not just about studying alone. Medical terminology became very interesting. I visited a private hospital on a field trip with the instructor, and it was very nice and clean. I have had a good experience during my time at Gateway. I finished my medical terminology class today and I am excited to continue forward with my best efforts. Everything is going very good for me.

I really enjoy being one of the alumni of one of the greatest schools here in Canada. The administration and faculty are very good and kind. Gateway College is a perfect school for students like myself, that work Monday to Friday and wish to study part-time. I was very happy to learn that Gateway offered weekend courses, allowing me to continue working at my current job.
The location of Gateway College is good because it is so convenient and accessible to Transit, as well as many restaurants that students can eat at during their lunch breaks. The College is also well-equipped with new equipment, enabling students to learn quickly and efficiently, as well as acquire a variety of practical skills and aspects of education that are not solely based from textbooks.
The instructors at Gateway have rich educational backgrounds, as well as a wide variety of experiences to share with students, enabling motivational and relatable learning.  The staff members are also very accommodating to students' inquiries and suggestions, making students feel comfortable and welcome.
An aspect about Gateway that I really found useful was the fact that the school assists graduates in creating suitable resumes, and supplies facility and job opening information to ensure that students are able to obtain desirable jobs upon graduation.
The graduation ceremony that Gateway holds for their graduate students is also very exciting! I enjoyed my experience at Gateway, and have actually recommended about five of my friends to enrol, and some of them have already graduated!

At first I was not sure if I was going to enrol in the Care Aide course because people encouraged me not to, and said that it was a really tough job. I also had no friends that were taking the course, and it's difficult to embark on tasks like this alone. I was also concerned that my brain was a little rusty from being out of school for so long. But despite all of this, one of Gateway's admissions counsellors convinced me to push through to my goals, so I did. Now I am already going through my new job orientation at the facility that I did my practicum in. Thank You Gateway College!

My experience at Gateway College was one of the most rewarding in my life. I chose to study at Gateway because of its good reputation and flexible course schedule. The instructors were friendly, inspiring, knowledgeable, and well prepared. The classes were informative, stimulating, and interactive. I can't imagine what my life would be like if I didn't take the LTCA course at Gateway College. Everything that I have now, it all started the day that I thought of enrolling in this school. Gateway really helped me in getting all I wanted in life. The school helped me more that I can ever imagine. I am really thankful for all the things that they have shared with me – the knowledge, the experiences, and the chance of meeting people that inspired me. I am very appreciative towards my clinical instructor for the last few weeks before practicum. I wish we had her from the beginning of the class. Also, lots of thanks to the instructor for being very sincere during our practicum.

In my six months studying at Gateway, I really enjoyed being with the staff and instructors because they were very nice. I learned many things from them. The instructors were very patient in teaching those who are slow learners. I would recommend Gateway to anyone.

What I liked the best was the way the instructors taught us. It was quite easy to understand the information through hand-outs, overheads, and videos. Every module was well-organized. I have been attending Gateway College for 18 months. At first, I knew noting about the hospitality and hotel management industry. However, through my courses I have been able to acquire knowledge, and accumulate experience of the hospitality industry. It's hard to do two things, such as studying and working at the same time, but it was possible for me with the help of my instructor and the school staff members.
I believe that I had precious times at Gateway College.

I would consider Gateway College the best school for me because of the availability to study part time. This aspect suited me well because I work during the weekdays. I took the LTCA course every Saturday for six months, and can't believe that I am already finished, and got a job as soon as I graduated. I would recommend Gateway College to those that are working because of the availability of Saturday and Sunday classes, and a friend of mine has already enrolled to start classes in June. I had a wonderful time at Gateway College! Our teacher is so knowledgeable and very thorough with every lesson we had. She even shared a lot of experiences that's relevant to us and especially with our caring for seniors.

Our instructor is very nice, a well-organized person, considerate, and well oriented. She knows what she's doing. I like the school and staff; they are very accommodating and friendly. Gateway is a good place to enrich your experience and knowledge. They have also made it convenient for us to do so in our busy life, a place to achieve our goal.

I chose Gateway College because all the instructors are very nice and very intelligent and I would also say that coming to Gateway College is very convenient.

The program at Gateway College is good, as well as the instructors. But I would recommend more hours of practicum for students to polish their skills.

Gateway College is an excellent place to pursue a different career. I chose GC because of my friend's referral and convenience to my workplace. We love our teacher for sharing her knowledge and experiences with us. We are so lucky to have her. I would recommend GC to others because it is affordable and they offer a variety of courses.

I attended Gateway College as a part-time student. This is a good school for someone who is working and wanting to upgrade their skills. I enjoyed the classes and the instructor's teaching and learned a lot.

My overall experience at Gateway has been very good. I was in the full-time class and the classes were very interesting because of our very knowledgeable and intelligent instructor and the very supportive staff at the college. Our clinical instructor was also incredibly supportive; she's great and so easy to get along with. I learned a lot through the lectures and readily applied the knowledge I gained to the practicum.

Enrolling of Gateway College was the right decision I made to begin my long journey to fulfill my dream. Taking LTCA, was my stepping stone to becoming who I would want to be in the future.
